We have 4 semi-independent homes located in LaSalle County. The semi-independent homes are suited for people who are able to live independently and do not need 24 hour care. However, these individuals still benefit from supports through Friendship House. The residents who live in the semi-independent homes have their own lease. The main goal of the semi-independent residential program is to support the people we serve in ways that allow them to achieve their goals and direct their own lives.
Everyone is learning what it is like living on their own but have supports from our dedicated staff daily to ensure safe, responsible, semi-independent living. This program allows individuals to learn, grow and show independence and more self-sufficiency while working and building a life.
